My name is Steve Connett, I have been an established builder for 45 years, since finishing my bricklaying City & Guilds apprenticeship in 1979 with craft and advanced craft bricklaying. I have worked on many interesting projects over the years, including the brickwork for Queens college (extension) Taunton, Crewkerne hospital, Sainsbury's supermarket, Chard, Strode college, Street (groundworks foreman) Symonds sweet factory, Yeovil (Groundworks foreman) countless domestic extensions, and my favourite, building the corner section of a stone wall of the Nurbergring castle in the Eifel region of Germany.
I decided to concentrate on chimney work as a main subject, as I was continually getting enquiries for this type of work but will take any work into consideration.
